Some street art at Astor Victoria
As you might have seen on Facebook, our cinema room at Astor Victoria has just had an amazing makeover and the artist who did it could be easily defined the next big thing in street art. In fact, you can read about him – whose stage name is IDa4 – on “The Guardian” for a painting he did during the Sochi Games in protest at Russia’s laws against gay propaganda. Not only we totally agree with the cause of his protest, but we also just loved his work, reason why we really wanted him to do something for us too. Quite luckily we got him on his stop to London, because he’s very busy touring around Europe – with his pretty cool van – at the moment.
We really wanted to make the cinema room at Astor Victoria special, so we thought that some “cinema-themed street art” would be the perfect touch to make that room even more unique. And the results don’t lie: that space is now an authentic piece of art! And this will be the starting point for regular cinema nights in it, where we’ll enjoy watching movies with our guests, but also other experiences such as watching movies with drinking rules. So stay tuned because you’ll get to know about that soon.
Above you can see some pictures of how the walls looked before and after. For more pictures check Astor Victoria Facebook Page, from where you can also keep updated about all the activities we’ll be having.
