Cool events in London you don’t need to plan for

Some people just aren’t good at making plans. Some travellers plan everything to the last detail and some just wait for plans to happen to them. Well if you’re the latter kind of traveller then this blog post is for you.

London is a city so famously filled with music, art, performances – It’s home to Shakespeare’s globe, the Sex Pistols, the Tate and countless other cultural landmarks. However when you’re the kind of traveller who plans nothing sometimes you really regret missing that music show you wish you’d booked a ticket for or the exhibition you forgot was on.

Below I give you a list of cool events that you really don’t need to plan for – turning up at around the right time-ish is enough.

Camden Lock 17’s – Back to the Folklaws.

This small scale folk night is a hidden gem (though becoming increasingly popular). Lock 17 situated in the locks and canals of London is the perfect introduction to Camden and London’s live music scene. Occurring every Wednesday of this summer ‘Back  To The Folklaws’ is a free, small, brimming-with-talent event  that will make you glad you didn’t make plans. Starting at 7:30 it provides you with 4 hours of musical enlightenment. An Astor Queensway favourite – come along with us next Wednesday and see how much fun you’ll have letting us do all the planning for you.

The Scoop – free theatre shows at London Bridge

The scoop have been holding free theatre, music and art shows every August for the last 11 years and this year is no different. The events are on every day throughout the day and so you need to plan no more than walking into an event (though some are popular and have first com first serve seating). This begins on August 3rd and it will sure be one of Astor Queensways favourite activities this summer so why not join us and let us do the planning for you?
